Fun & Easy Dog Sledding Adventure - 10:05 Tour
For this tour you can choose from four departure times for a slightly different atmosphere. The 8:15 tour offers a real feel of an Arctic morning, whilst the later 10:05 departure offers more of a mid-day adventure both accompanied by a team of friendly huskies. The 11:55 and 13:45 departure offers similar conditions but is perfect for those who want a later start to the day. The tours depart from outside of the Scandic Ishavshotel and start with a 50-minutes' drive out to our basecamp in Breivikeidet. On the 08:15 and the 10:05 departure we also offer pickup from Tromsø Camping (only in high season December 19 – March 31). Upon arrival you will be welcomed by our friendly staff who will give you some information about the day. If you didn’t bring warm clothing, you may borrow a polar insulated suit, boots, hats and mittens.
At the basecamp itself we have 84 friendly Alaskan huskies with their own name and personality. The huskies love to meet and interact with guests, so don’t be afraid to give them a cuddle or two. After meeting the huskies, a professional guide will go through our safety instructions and preparations so you can have a wonderful experience as a musher. Two people will be sharing a sled, one as a driver and the other one as a passenger, with 4-6 huskies running in front. You will spend approximately 1,5 hours on the sled, giving you enough time to swap places if wanted, as well as admire the stunning Arctic landscape passing by.
After your dog sledding adventure, it will be time to say bye to the four-legged companions and board the bus back to Tromsø.

Restrictions: Minimum age 4 years old. When making a booking for a child, please kindly always inform us of the age, as our guides will then be able to prepare accordingly. Each child will have to be accompanied by an adult.

What to wear & bring with you?
We recommend dressing in warm winter clothing and in layers so you can adjust your clothing to the weather. We recommend bringing a scarf in cold weather.
