Sørøya Havfiskecruise has been operating since 2006, and we can proudly introduce ourselves as a pioneer of winter tourism by boat in Tromsø. We are a North Norwegian Company with local crew and skippers.
This tour is conducted by Sørøya Havfiskecruise.

Local Norwegian skippers and crew with years of experience make this a safe, pleasant and memorable trip. We offer tours with our homely and cozy catamaran MB Havcruise. The owners live on board in the winter.

A maximum of 12 guests per trip provides a social and pleasant mood. We keep ourselves in protected waters, and find the best place for Aurora activity.

Northern Lights from the seaside is a special and very beautiful sight. Light pollution disappears literally into the black sea. We have around 80% score during a winter season, and then we see it with the naked eye, not only through camera.

As an added bonus you get an amazing view of the Tromsø area by night. Knowledgeable hosts with years of experience will make this an extra memorable trip. We are pleased to help with photography tips.

A traditional homemade fish meal of the best quality, and hot drinks is included. A vegeterian option is available.

Our focus is quality over quantity.

We take safety seriously and have annual inspections of boats and equipment. All our passengers are well insured on board.

General information:

Availability period: This Sørøya Havfiskecruise tour is available from 20th October 2024 to 26th March 2025.

Included: Hot drinks, homemade traditional fish meal (or vegeterian option), use of poncho and tripod, guide, survival suit
Please bring: Warm clothing, gloves, hat, warm shoes and thermal underwear

Departure time and place: 8.30 PM (20:30) at the floating pier behind Scandic Ishavshotel. Meeting point at our red and white catamaran MB Havcruise 15 minutes before departure.

How to reach the meeting point: Meeting point is beside our boat MS Havcruise (red and white aluminium catamaran, 14,9 meter long and 7 meter wide). We are located behind Scandic Ishavshotel at the outer floating dock/jetty. There are two gangways down to the floating docks. Use the one at the end of the hotel, closest to the open see.
